That guy was the reason I stopped watching the show, so dumb. Gotham turned from a detective show with some over the top stuff here and there but pretty grounded overall to a complete shitshow with magic and fantasy

The way I clapped when Lysa died and gasped when Oberyn died. More like screamed. Even that far in the show when youve become desentizied to such violence it really shocked me

I don't think that the crators intended for the joker to be seen as someone who just "a copycat of this guy he saw on TV killing people and laughing", I think that they likely thought that they were honouring the precedent for joker-like characters that Bill Finger and Jerry Robinsons set up through their character writing, because there are quite a lot of notes throughout the Gotham series that were clearly inspired, or at least mirrored Robinson's and Finger's Joker. Either way, I recommend spending a bit reading the original Finger and Kane comics and then watching Gotham, There's a lot of creadence payed

Edit: I didn't realize this video is 2 years old so ignore most the stuff I said in this comment Idk man, after season 4 of Dragon Prince and on its kinda ass Dont get me wrong, I love it and try as hard as I can to give it every single pass, but I'm so disappointed at how much this show has devolved. Seasons 2 and 3 were peak, and it seems to be improving with the latest season, and hopefully, it sticks the landing with the final season.

ive watched the entire series twice now ( even season 7 and 8 ) and the death that affects me the hardest both time is Lyanna Mormont. I loved her character so much despite the fact that she isn't actually all that important and isn't on screen much, but watching her get tossed like a ragdoll, only to get up and try to take down the giant with whatever she had left in her left a real imprint on me forever. the first time I watched her death was in a giant old fashioned theatre with about 300 or more people, when she stabbed that giant in the eye, everyone in the theatre screamed and cheered, but I was crying my eyes out. knowing that she was barely a teenager, and also one of the last living people of her house, which was also my favorite house, is such a painful blow when that giant crushes her to death. I understand that she wasn't all that important, and they really tried to force her character, but idk there's just something about her whole scene that kills me. I wouldn't say it was a good death, but damn.
